Mr. Ioanis Theotokas

 

Mr. Theotokas is the Maritime Business Administration Professor at the Department of Shipping and Business Services University of the Aegean. He studied at the University of Piraeus (Department of Economics) and received a doctorate (PhD) in Maritime Business Administration from the Department of Maritime Studies of the same University.

His research interests focus on issues related to the Maritime Business Administration, the Business Strategy and Human Resource Management in shipping. He is the Director of Administration at the Aegean Maritime and Port Business University.

He is the author of six books (five of which in cooperation) in Greek and English and 36 published scientific articles in reviewed international journals and edited volumes on issues concerning the Maritime Business Management, Human Resources Management in shipping, corporate Social Responsibility, corporate Governance, Innovation, Competitiveness in shipping etc. He has coauthored collective volumes in Greece and abroad and has presented more than 50 papers in international scientific conferences.

He has participated in a significant number of European and national research programs and studies on employment, entrepreneurship and strategy in shipping, maritime education and distance learning as project leader or researcher, funded by the European Commission, the Ministry of Development , the Panhellenic Maritime Federation and other organizations.
