Capt. Leonid Zalenski is Group Marine Director of Columbia Shipmanagement. A Master Mariner with 20 years seagoing experience, including 8 years in command on various types of tankers, Leonid moved ashore in 1999 and was heading Training & Manning Office for one of the large ship management company until 2004, when Leonid joined Columbia Shipmanagement in Cyprus. Leonid is in charge for all marine, navigation, cargo handling, security matters for Columbia Group, has vast experience in maritime incident investigations, closely deals with oil major companies and represents Columbia Shipmanagement in various industry groups, such as INTERTANKO Vetting Committee, Tanker Safety Forum, Norwegian Hull Club Loss Prevention Committee, Shell Focus Group - Maritime Partners in Safety, Marine Committee of Cyprus Shipping Chamber. Leonid regularly attends and takes active part in various industry forums and seminars worldwide.
