Captain Vassilios Terzis was born in Athens, in 1955.
In 1976 he graduated from Hydra Maritime Academy, second in his class. Since then he has served as 2nd Officer aboard commercial vessels (1976-1978) and Captain of the Hellenic Navy (1978-1981). He then resumed his career as Officer aboard commercial vessels, also pursuing private business projects and trading. Between 1986-1990 he served as Port Captain of a maritime company.
In 1990 he founded QUEENSWAY Group of Companies, with offices in Athens, Batumi (Georgia) and Gibraltar, of which he still serves as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Captain Terzis is the Senior Vice President of the Hellenic Shortsea Shipowners Association, member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, acting member of the Board of Directors of the Greek Fund for Family Benefits of Seafarers and member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Union of Greek Shipowners.
