Mr. Dionisis TEMPONERAS serves as Secretary General of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs since 08-03-2018.
He was born in 1981 in Patras, Greece. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy (History and Archaeology) of the University of Ioannina and then from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He continued his studies in postgraduate level and he obtained a postgraduate diploma in Labor Law from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He currently is a PhD candidate for the elaboration of doctoral dissertation in the field of Public Law in the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has been practicing law since 2008, specializing in Labor, Public and Social Security Law. More specifically, he has been practicing before Civil and Administrative Courts, he is an expert in drafting legal opinions, legal documents, etc. He has worked with labor unions, workers federations, chambers and commercial associations all over the country. He is also author of numerous articles and papers in newspapers and law journals. He has participated as a speaker in many meetings and conferences. From February 2015 to August 2015 he served as an advisor to the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Insurance. He then served as an advisor to the Governor of the Foundation of Social Security (IKA-ETAM) until December 2016 and then as a special advisor to the Deputy Governor of ETEAP. Since April 2017 he was special advisor to the Minister of Maritime Affairs and he was a member to numerous Special Committees of the Ministry, while he also participated as a member of the Sea Transport Council, currently being its President.
President, also, of the working group on restructuring of the institutional framework for sea transport services.
Member of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on the fight against trafficking of products subjected to excise duty.
Member of the Governmental Council for the economic policy.
